BSU Construction Management and others give big to African school

Rhett Scarbrough, a Boise State and Construction Management Program alumnus, is teaching a construction class at the Cape Verede School on behalf of the United States Peace Corps.

Scarbrough called upon his friends and former peers from the CMA at BSU. Members of the club and many community organizations have contributed to help this cause.

Jennifer Lanzetti, CMA secretary, and Michael Sis, CMA alumnus, are leading the humanitarian project to collect tools. Lanzetti accepted this project because she believes in volunteer work and the blessings that come from others' generosity. READ MORE > >

Boise State Construction Management Teams Receive Honors in Regional Competition 2008

Boise State Construction Management teams placed 3rd in three divisions at the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Inter-Scholastic Regional Competition and Conference held February 13 – 16 in Reno, NV. The teams placed in the Heavy Civil, Residential, and LEED (green building) divisions. Boise State entered teams in four other divisions including Design Build, Mechanical, Marine, and Commercial. The Design Build, Residential, Commercial, and Heavy Civil teams competed against top western schools including Colorado State, Arizona State, Brigham Young University, and other programs from Montana to New Mexico. The LEED, Marine and Mechanical teams competed in national competitions against teams from such schools as Cal Poly, UC Berkeley, and Virginia Tech. READ MORE > >

The teams placed in the Design-Build Division (2nd) and the Residential Division (3rd).
